The following is an overview of the differences between our two main phototherapy systems and the skin care treatments they offer. Whether you’re a Dermatologist or Nurse working under a Physician, or an Esthetician, it’s important to understand exactly what you can treat with the different lights offered by TheraLight®.

|wrinkles and fine lines||VersaClear®||Green, Yellow, Red|
|age spots||VersaClear®||Green, Yellow, Red|

|Cutaneous T-cell lymphoma||DuaLight®||UVA|
|Cutaneous T-cell lymphoma||VersaClear®||UVA1|
|sclerotic skin diseases||VersaClear®||UVA1|
The VersaClear light therapy system covers a wider area of the face and body. It is a hands-free, mobile system found to be very convenient for many Estheticians. Since an average treatment is about 20 minutes under the light, an Esthetician can leave their client to relax and rest, while they move into the next room to help another client.
The VersaClear system has an automatic timer that shuts the system off once the session is complete. Of course an Esthetician would never forget about their client, but in any case, it always assures the Esthetician and client that the session will not go over the required time.
The DuaLight system, on the other hand, is a hand-held targeted phototherapy system used for medical skin conditions, such as psoriasis, vitiligo, and other autoimmune conditions. This system is very useful as it generates fast results without the risks offered by lasers. It also helps target the affected skin without exposing unaffected skin to radiation.
The Physician Grade vs Esthetician Grade VersaClear Systems
Please note, there are two different types of light modules for the VersaClear® system:
- Physician Grade – includes the UVA1 light module used for medical phototherapy treatment
- Esthetician Grade – includes the visible light therapy colors
